Ouch.
If I ever feel ropey I'd rather just work from home than be off sick - lazing around bores me even if I'm ill

Aye. Sometimes you need it though and it's nice for it not to bite financially. If I ever feel ropey I'd rather just work from home than be off sick - lazing around bores me even if I'm ill
If you were feeling better at lunchtime, why didn't you go into work will be one question you will face.
As for the colleague who reported you, I hope they can live with themselves for being a dirty grass as you might have been on the way to your GP or the hospital. I'd have thought a little quicker on your feet if I were you.
I would offer to take off the time lost as leave to keep the peace.
I had already been put down as sick for the day. So coming in wouldn't have made a difference as they wouldn't allow me to work part of my shift back.

Are they management or just a grass?
You can't trust anyone man.
I made a negative comment about my previous employer on FaceyB and someone saw it (someone whom I trusted) and reported it to my manager.
If someone fucks up at work, I try and cover them and/or minimise the damage, but it seems to be that most people today are more than happy to grass other folk up to try and improve their own position. Seen that done on more than one occasion, people going straight to management to report innocuous things to try and get a leg up over someone else.
Bastards.
Yep, paper delivery can be a cut throat business marra

I used to deliver papers. It was my first job and I got £15 a week. Worked out at about £3 per hour.
Worked on my own like, didn't have a team. Fuck other people man, lying, scheming, grassing, untrustworthy fuckers.
Never, ever post anything about an employer on social networking sites man
At my place you know the people you can trust and those that you can't. I would like to think that the arse lickers will get the comeuppance someday. You can't trust anyone man.

I know but still, you think you can trust some of the people you work with and then suddenly the manager wants to speak to me about my comments on Facebook.
Very few workmates will ever become your real friends mate - trust no-one
Have you seen Dexter, mate? I think I might have to adopt a Dexter-esque approach to my work colleagues in future.
Obviously without most/all of the homocidal and psychopathic tendencies like but nobody is perfect.
Understatement of the century.Nah mate, I like to go out and don't spend much time in front of the Tv
Totally agree with this. Apart from the owner of the firm there's only 2 lads I'd trust and I socialise with them.Very few workmates will ever become your real friends mate - trust no-one
