I thought the crack was that you picked a lass you liked, take her out for a drink and try and buck her, then either buck her or get turfed and then try and find another lass to buck.

Maybe I'm just old fashioned. When people say things like exclusive/dating/on a break/fuck buddies it just makes me cringe like fuck.

It may be that choice thing now which is way too much in every shape or form,it was simpler but it probably ended up with people being paired with no real future,then staying together too long, miserable.With FB etc there's loads of lads and lasses who are "friends" and i think they play on it
 
Got a Mrs (no) and my only experience of dating recently has been single mates and people at work.

Still seems to be, for the majority -

Pissed > Shag
Pissed > Shag > Date > Relationship
Work Together > Pissed > Shag
Work Together > Pissed > Shag > Date > Relationship
Work Together > Shag
Work Together > Shag > Date > Relationship

Those shags can all work in multiple....

Im only 31 and thank fuck i dont have all this shit to do. iv been married since i was 25. Been with our lass (no) since i was 21. Got pissed(very) pulled her took her out, bucked her, relationship engagement, marrige, simple.

It was that being an adult yet not having the freedom to act like one because of your parents being around ,yeah I think the non heavy thing suits older people,it's more about the company

Last thing on my mind at 21 was the the trail you mention ,I lived a fantastic selfish existence, worked hard ,party,travelled, holidays ,not a care in the world ,first proper lass at about your age and that burnt out because I didn't change .Settled a bit at 40.Plenty time for settling down

Aye ur mabyes right but up until that point i was doing exactly that enjoying mesel. Didnt think it would come to much at first but after two years we split up and the penny dropped that we didnt want to be apart the rest is history. All im saying is that it just seems far more complicated than ten years ago to be in the dating game.

If it happened to me I'd accept it was never leading to anything but still buck her every so often when I didn't have a better offer.

I agree with that except for the issue with fuckbuddies. It's a useful descriptor for a situation in which you shag repeatedly and basically have no other interaction with or expectations of the other person.
